Visit from Ardagh for International Women’s Day
To coincide with International Women’s Day last week, the Careers Department welcomed 6 female representatives from Ardagh Glass Packaging to talk to some of our female students.
Ardagh’s representatives gave a talk to over 30 of our female students about the glass manufacturing industry and the career opportunities available. This was a great opportunity to mark International Women’s Day whilst raising awareness of Ardagh’s work to attract a more diverse workforce in the glass manufacturing sector. The talk consisted of a presentation by former St Wilfrid’s student, Megan Hoyle who is now an Environmental Manager at Ardagh, followed by a question and answer session with various female employees working at Ardagh in a wide range of roles.
At St Wilfrid’s we’re committed to providing all students with opportunities to enhance their awareness of potential future career paths.
