UCAS - St Wilfrids Catholic High School and Sixth Form College

UCAS and Onward Progression

Our Sixth Form team are UCAS specialists. Getting to the right university is competitive and it is important to balance the academic needs of the university, as well as reflect your skills in your application. Our enrichment programmes help to ensure that the ‘soft skills’ craved by universities and employers alike, are prominent aspects of your application.

At St. Wilfrid’s, we pride ourselves on the complete education of our young people, not just the focus on academic success. Our expert team ensure that no application is sent off to a university without being thoroughly checked. This process begins in June of Year 12 and all applications are completed by December. Progression rates show that 81% of our learners went onto university courses in 2015; 25% of these to the top Russell Group Universities. In addition, we had three students accepted onto Oxbridge courses and one even went to Harvard. Increasingly, we find that university may not be the right choice for all students. We have a dedicated careers team to help support apprenticeship or onward Post-18 employment.

You can be assured that our impartial advice and guidance is second to none.
