Careers Education, Impartial Advice and Guidance - St Wilfrids Catholic High School and Sixth Form College

Careers Education, Impartial Advice and Guidance

The quality and provision of Careers education, impartial advice and guidance is of paramount importance at St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School and Sixth Form College. A developing Careers education and guidance programme plays a major part in helping young people choose pathways that suit their interests, abilities and individual needs. A fully dedicated Careers Team helps to avoid disengagement and puts school learning into a wider and more relevant context, and helps raise aspirations.

The current provision for Careers education, impartial information, advice and guidance (CEIIAG) helps our students to plan and manage their careers effectively, ensuring progression, which is ambitious and aspirational. It will promote equality of opportunity, celebrate diversity and challenge stereotypes.

We are currently in the process to achieve the Quality in Careers Standard with the support of C&K Careers and NCOP (National Collaborative Outreach Programme – Go Higher West Yorkshire).

Our Careers Centre is open every day from 8.45 – 4pm. It also incorporates the NCOP Higher Education Progression Officer. Contact details are below.
