CLEANING ASSISTANTS

Post 1 – 16.25 hours per week on a full time contract

(Monday to Friday 3.15 pm to 6.30 pm)

Post 2 – 18.75 hours per week on a full time contract

(Monday to Friday 2.45 pm to 6.30 pm)

Grade G1 – £9.00 per hour

With immediate effect

Under the direction of the Site Manager or Site Assistant, provide a clean, hygienic and welcoming school environment which meets specified cleaning standards.

Take responsibility for ensuring that a specific area of the school is clean, cleaning all surfaces, fixtures and fittings. Clean floors, walls, partitions and internal woodwork as appropriate and clean toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas.

Undertake special cleaning programmes during school closure or other designated periods in compliance with the specification for the premises.

FIRST AID ASSISTANT

32.5 hours per week term time only plus one additional day

Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 3.30 pm

Grade G5, Scale point 7 (FTE £19,554) – Actual salary £14,394

To provide first line support to students and staff who are taken ill or have an accident in school.

To supervise pupils who are unwell during the school day and to liaise with parents/guardians of those pupils who are too ill to remain in school, arranging for their safe collection from school premises.

Record all accidents or incidents and maintain pupil medical records on a daily basis ensuring that pupils with daily needs attend and administer medicine regularly.
