Become a Foundation Governor
Training and support is available for new and existing governors and is free of charge. There would be an expectation for governors to attend training to develop their skills to support the work of the Academy Council. School Governors serve for a four-year term of office. However, should your circumstances change, as a volunteer, you can resign at any time.
The average time commitment could be 20-25 hours per term (3 terms per year). This includes meetings, interview panels, background reading and school visits. For more details click here: New Foundation Governors Required

TEACHER OF TECHNOLOGY (MPS) – (one-year fixed term to meet the needs of the curriculum)

We are seeking an outstanding and passionate teacher of Design Technology with the ability to teach across the subject at key stage 3 and 4 to join our successful team in September 2020. The teacher will become a member of a large team who are creative, energetic and determined to give every pupil the best possible opportunity to benefit from an outstanding education.
St Wilfrid’s is a successful 11-18 school with a strong Catholic ethos, set in a caring and inclusive community. In 2019, 73% of students achieved grades 9-4 in both English & Maths at GCSE.
Technology at St Wilfrid’s is an exciting and engaging subject.The department deliver a range of courses including Design Technology, using a range of materials, and Food Preparation and Nutrition. Technology forms an integral part in raising standards and student achievement. In 2019 64% of students achieved grades 4 and above in GCSE Design Technology.
We require a well-qualified teacher (experienced or NQT) with a passion and enthusiasm for the subject to join our team of specialists to help us further raise standards while contributing to courses throughout the faculty in key stages 3 and 4. Our teachers must be able to work collaboratively and supportively and have high expectations of all learners.
