Voluntary Contribution Scheme - St Wilfrids Catholic High School and Sixth Form College

Voluntary Contribution Scheme

Voluntary Contribution Scheme

You will have heard in the press that all schools are finding it very challenging to operate on the reducing levels of government funding they receive and it appears this is not going to improve in the foreseeable future.

It is at times like this that the voluntary contributions from parents can make the greatest difference to what we can do beyond teaching and learning. We would like to thank all those that have contributed to the Voluntary Contribution Scheme and hope we can rely on your continued support.

To enable St Wilfrid’s to provide the additional support and services characteristic of a successful Catholic school, as well as funding additional projects we believe a continued voluntary contribution from supportive families will significantly benefit our pupils. The amount contributed last academic year (2017-2018) amounted to £9,440.

The above donation has helped give the school the opportunity to:

Purchase new IT equipment

Build our new external dining canopy for use by all students

Resurface some walkways around site

Replace dining furniture

We have identified a number of capital projects that school would like to pursue in order to meet the needs of our learners; these include improvements to school facilities.  The projects will improve and enhance the learning environment for our students now and in the future.

We would ask those parents who do not currently contribute to consider making a regular donation (e.g. a few £s a month) to our Voluntary Contribution Scheme or maybe make a one-off payment of any amount.
