Four Saint Wilfrid’s Sixth Form Students were recently victorious in the regional final of the Senior Team Mathematics Challenge held at Outwood Conference Centre in Adwick, Doncaster on 23rd November 2017. Robert Sawdon and Robert Yeo from Year 13, joined by Charlie Norris and David Burrows from Year 12 – all of whom study Further Mathematics – made up the 4-strong Saint Wilfrid’s team which competed in the three rounds of the STMC and beat many prestigious opponents such as Ackworth School. The students have qualified to compete in the National Final in London which will be held at the Royal Horticultural Halls in February 2018. The STMC, run by the UK Mathematics Trust is a competition testing mathematical, communication and teamwork skills.
