On Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th April, the Diocese of Leeds sent an Inspection Team to inspect the Catholic Life of our school and Religious Education. The Diocesan Coordinator for Religious Education, Mr Chris Devanny, said:
Congratulations on your ‘Good’ judgement, you, and the community of St. Wilfrid’s are a credit to Catholic education. As the Report makes clear:
This school is a good school with excellent capacity at all levels for further improvement. School leaders, governors and trustees clearly demonstrate a very high regard for continued commitment to the Church’s mission in education. They are passionate about their work and working hard to improve the provision and outcomes for all pupils. There is good practice within the Religious Education department and RE leaders know the strengths and areas for development based on accurate monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning… Leaders at all levels know what is required to move the school forward… Pupils and sixth form students speak very positively about their school … and … Parents speak highly of the school community…
On behalf of the Bishop, I wish to express my gratitude for the service you continue to give to Catholic education and wish everyone involved at St. Wilfrid’s continued success in the future.View all News
